Past Events - 2015
Quick Build
On January 3, 2015, members of the team, along with a few mentors, traveled to Crescent School in Toronto, Ontario to begin working on the robot. At the school, the team managed to finish their base chassis design and test it before leaving. Overall, it was a great opportunity to begin interacting with the world of FRC and network with other rookie teams.
Reveal Date
After watching the live stream, the team came together to come up with a game plan and discuss possible ideas for a robot design.
Build Season
Six intense weeks of building and preparation for our competition at UOIT ensued shortly afterwards.
Ryerson - Competition
The team then traveled to Ryerson University to watch and cheer for their mentor team Where's Waldo.
UOIT - Competition Day
After three long days of competing at UOIT, Team 5428 managed to win the Rookie All Star Award, allowing them to go to the FRC World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri!

Introduction to Robotics - Lego NXT event : Cornell Library /Markham Village Library
On March 18, 19 along with December 29 and December 30 of 2015, children of all ages stopped by to learn about exciting opportunities that exist in the wonderful world of LEGO, at an event hosted by the team. We gave young students the opportunity to interact with LEGO Robotics kits as well as learn about the First LEGO League to further encourage and inspire them to pursue careers in STEM.
